One way is to use a baffle. If your feeder is on a pole, place the baffle below the feeder, so the squirrels can get to it when they climb the pole. If your feeder is hanging from a branch or a hook, there are baffles that go on top of the feeder. You have to keep your feeders away from shrubs, fences, walls and anything else that the squirrels can jumpr from.
